MY BLOG.

I shall not elaborate on Chinese Oral today,
However, HAHHA i came upon this story which i wrote when i was Primary 5 or 6.
It's SO COOL that i wrote such a story,

The interesting Taxi Driver

“ Uncle, please fetch me to East Coast Road, “ I said. “ Sure, Miss,” the taxi driver replied. I noticed that there were religious items, chains and banana leaves hanging on the rear view-mirror. Overwhelmed with curiosity, I asked him,” Uncle, why do you hang all these items in your taxi?’’

Unlike other taxi drivers, he actually answered, ”As taxi drivers, we travel from morning to night. We go from housing estates to graveyards, you will never know what’s going to happen next. I have also heard stories about seeing weird things on the streets that just keep appearing so I put these items up.’’

I was surprised, as I have not known of any taxi driver who hung all these things to prevent supernatural happenings. Then, I smelt a strong, pungent odour. “ What’s that smell?” I asked, covering my nose and mouth. He told me to look behind to see for myself. So, I did as I was told. I looked behind and was shocked. It was a row of socks that looked yellow and dirty. “Why did you put those socks for?’’ I yelled, trying to move as far away from the socks as possible.

“ I’m sorry, but it is said that ghost are afraid of yellow and smelly stuff,’’ he replied calmly. I was annoyed yet curious. I asked him if he had ever come across any ghost. His reply was a no. I thought to myself that he must be very superstitious.

Then, I looked at the items around his taxi and noticed that they were mostly cooking ingredients like onions, banana leaves and ginger. I asked him again,’’ Do you know why the ghost are afraid of these, have you ever come across any strange happenings?” “ No I have not but other taxi drivers have.’’ he replied.

That is strange, I thought to myself. In my experience, no one did things without knowing the reason for it. I also had never come across a taxi driver who was willing to explain things to me and is so superstitious. He kept me curious but I could not ask further questions as I had already reached my destination.
